It Started with Bread
October 2024 — Pasadena, California
OHLALA opened its doors with a simple vision: to share the art of French baking. Guided by Jean-Paul Veziano, the legendary artisan baker from the French Riviera, our kitchen began with the essentials — handmade loaves, flaky croissants, and pastries crafted with time-honored tradition.
What started as a humble boulangerie quickly became a neighborhood favorite.

The Neighborhood Gathered
As word spread, the scent of fresh bread brought the community together. Guests came for coffee and stayed for long, easy brunches filled with seasonal, French-inspired dishes. OHLALA became known not only for what was served, but for how it made people feel — welcomed, relaxed, and at home.

From Day To Night
Today, OHLALA is open from morning to night. The menu brings a piece of France to the table: a curated wine list, seasonal dishes, and artisan desserts made fresh every day. The space shifts with the day—bright and breezy by morning, warm and intimate by dinner. A place to gather, to share, to enjoy something thoughtfully made.
